Several Roads Closed on Mercer Island (Story With Links)
The city has updated a list of closed roads on Mercer Island for Thursday, Jan. 19.

The city of Mercer Island is reporting local roadways are extremely hazardous due to freezing rain falling over the compact snow and ice on the roadway, according to a city press release.
Public safety officials say that all hills need to be an area of concern and even what looks like exposed roadway may be slick and icy.
Plows, sanding and deicing is being focused on arterials and neighborhood priority routes to maintain mobility for emergency services, transit and commutes, according to the city. The city plans to get to other streets as the temperatures are expected to rise later today.
