Community Corner

Covenant Shores Gala Event

Mercer Island, WA – The campus at Covenant Shores with its lakefront setting will set the stage for the Caring & Sharing Benefit Gala on Saturday, September 7, from 4:00 to 6:00 PM.  This is an evening of celebration for the           entire community whether on campus as a resident or from other parts of the extended community.  Proceeds benefit the Benevolent Care Fund which bridges the gap when residents’ carefully preserved resources are no longer sufficient to cover the cost of their housing and services.

The gala festivities at Fortuna Lodge will begin at 4:00 PM in the Lodge DiningRoom with a special array of delectable and artfully presented hot & cold hors d’oeuvres and desserts.

Our entertainment will be the “Route 66” Big Band, a Seattle based band which has been entertaining people with the songs of the swing era for 25 years.  Their repertoire includes such greats as Glen Miller, Frank Sinatra, Nat King  Cole, and Count Basie, among others.
