Shop and dine to help fund women’s cancer research at Fred Hutch Annual event at University Village now includes exclusive dining specials

SEATTLE – Shop & Dine to Make a Difference, now in its 11th year, lets shoppers and diners score deals at University Village while helping support women’s cancer research at Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center.

The fundraising event, to be held March 21-23, allows customers to purchase a Cure Card for $30 and save 20 percent at more than 60 participating University Village shops and restaurants.

In addition, several restaurants will be offering exclusive specials for Cure Card purchasers for the first time. Dining specials include $5 Beecher’s “World’s Best” Mac and Cheese at Liam’s, a specialty beer tasting at Eureka, and free appetizers or desserts available with purchase at many restaurants including Din Tai Fung, JOEY Kitchen, Elemental Pizza, Piatti Ristorante and others.

Last year’s event raised more than $53,000 for Fred Hutch. Cure Cards can be purchased online in advance or at University Village’s Center Court during the event.

All proceeds from card sales benefit lifesaving research on breast, cervical and ovarian cancer.

Participating for the first time this year are American Eagle, Calypso St. Barth, Hot Mama, Starbucks Coffee and Teavana Fine Teas + Tea Bar. Other participating merchants include Anthropologie, Aritzia, Eileen Fisher, Madewell, Pottery Barn Kids, Restoration Hardware, Storables, The Land of Nod and many more.
