I am Rita Moore a Mercer Island Park Steward. Myself and a few friends have been restoring North Mecerdale Hillside Park for several years now. Come help plant, pull weeds, cut blackberry, spread mulch from 1-4 at the park (this is not Mererdale Hillside Park). Bring a gloves and hand clippers if you have them. Wear enclosed shoes and bring a water bottle. Heavy rain cancels.
This is great outdoor exercise!
Directions: From 76th Ave SE (downtown between 29th and 27th streets, turn on to 75th pl SE. (There is only one road on 76th Ave SE in this block and it goes uphill.) Go up the hill and turn right onto 28th St SE continuing up the hill. There is a sharp bend to the left still going up hill. Park a the top of the hill.
