Programs and Activities To Enjoy on Mercer Island and Nearby
Tuesday, 9/24 - Get Your Teen Free Homework Support
Visit the Mercer Island library to enjoy some parent down time Tuesday afternoon and introduce your teen to the FREE homework help service. Trained tutor volunteers will help teens with their homework assignment in the Study Zone in the Small Meeting Room from 4 pm to 6 pm.
Wednesday, 9/25 – Story Time at the Mercer Island Library and Evening Friends of the Mercer Island Fall Book Presale

Pop by the the Young Toddler Story time for ages 12 to 24 months from 10:15 am to 10:45 am or the Toddler Story Time for ages two to three from 11 am to 11:30 am.
And while you are there, become a Friends of the Library member so you can attend the Friends of the Library Members Only Fall Book Pre-Sale on Wednesday evening, from 5 pm to 9 pm and snag some great deals on books, DVDs and CDs. Sale is then open to the public and continues Thursday until Sunday at the library.

Saturday, 9/28 – Family Night Out At Crossroads
Crossroads Shopping Center in Bellevue has everything you need to need to rock your family’s Saturday night. Lots of dining options, Board Game Night at Uncle’s Games starting at 5 p.m. and live jazz music with the Ham Carson Swing Jazz band at 7 pm.. More information here.
Saturday, 9/28 – Enjoy a Free Guided Tour of the Bellevue Botanical Garden
Every Satuday and Sunday through October a free tour of the Bellevue Botanical Garden is offered at 2 pm with a volunteer docent. The tour begins at the BBG Shorts Visitor’s Center. The garden is undergoing some renovation to create a new visitor center, so park at nearby Wilburton Hill park and take the trail over.
Sunday, 9/29 - Take a Ranger Guided Canoe Trip in the Mercer Slough
This is the last weekend this year you and your kids, ages five and up, can explore Bellevue's Mercer Slough Nature Park by canoe with a park ranger. The fee is $18 per person for non-Bellevue residents and includes the canoe rental. You must pre-register – no drop-ins. Trip runs from 8:45 am to Noon and leaves from the Enatai Beach park.
