Five Things You Need To Know Today, Dec. 20

Did you know "Monday" in Japanese is "Getsu-yobi?" Impress your friends with that. But understand that it's still Monday.

1) Wax nostalgic and help your fellow grads by attending the 2nd annual College Panel at NYHS at 3 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 20. This is an opportunity for you to share your experiences at college with current NYHS students. There will be a dessert reception for alumni and faculty after the college panel.  2) regular meeting on December 20, 2010 has been canceled. The next regular meeting will be on Monday, January 3, 2010 at 7 p.m. at City Hall Council Chambers, 9611 SE 36th Street. Call 206.275.7793 for more information

3) Looking for a fun and interactive after school program designed to encourage healthy attitudes and lifestyles that will enable early adolescent girls to develop to their full potential? 4) (CCMV) will be closed for annual maintenance from Monday, December 20 through Saturday, December 25. The CCMV will open again on Sunday, December 26, with limited offerings through the end of the year. The CCMV will be open on Boxing Day, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, December 26, and  Monday, December 27 through Thursday, December 30: 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

5) Have a heart and get your tickets for the Giving From the Heart' Breakfast, a Mercer Island tradition, which starts their online registration on Monday, Dec 20th. This February 9, 2011 Mercer Island community celebration directly supports Mercer Island Youth and Family Services. For more information got to the web site.
