It's Labor Day weekend, and that means it's time for Bumbershoot and football, or one last party before the school year begins.

  • Where/When: 8 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 3 at Centurylink Field, 800 Occidental Ave S, Seattle
  • Why Go: Marquee Game of the 2011 Emerald City Kickoff Classic, sponsored by . Kickoff at 8pm at CenturyLink (formerly Qwest) Field, home of the Seahawks. Pre-game BBQ at Pyramid Ale House from 5-7pm. Tickets for both events available at www.mifootball.org
  • Pricing: $15 for adults, $10 for Seniors/students. $17.50 for pre-game BBQ

2011 Bumbershoot: Seattle’s Music and Arts Festival

  • Where/When:  Saturday through Labor Day,  Sept. 3-5 at Seattle Center
  • Why Go: Established in 1971, Bumbershoot takes place every year over Labor Day weekend and stretches across the 74-acre Seattle Center beneath the city’s iconic Space Needle. Bumbershoot programs 20 unique indoor and outdoor venues, allowing for a diverse array of arts including live music, comedy, theatre, dance, film, urban crafts, and literary and visual arts. Festival details are located at bumbershoot.org.
  • Pricing: Tickets $29 to $475

Lawn Chair Theater

  • Where/When: 6:30 PM - 9:30 p.m., Friday, Sept 2 at Lake Sammamish Foursquare Church, 14434 NE 8th St in Bellevue
  • Why Go: Bring your blankets, lawn chairs, and flashlights for an evening of family fun-including a free outdoor showing of "Kung Fu Panda," inflatable slides and a bouncey house.
  • Cost: Free.

Friends of the Library Fall Book Sale/Silent Auction

  • Where/When: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Sun, 1-5 p.m.at , 4400 88th Ave SE, Mercer Island.
  • Why Go: Friends of the Mercer Island Library are hosting this book sale one final weekend. Don't miss your chance to grab some bargains!
  • Pricing: Free admission, with most items priced 50 cents to $2.
