MI Farmers Market Pie and Dessert Baking Contest Entries Sought

One of the winning entries on June 23 will be chosen for inclusion on the menu at Stopsky's Deli.

The Mercer Island Youth & Family Services (MIYFS) Advisory Board will host the second annual Pie Baking Contest at the Mercer Island Farmer's Market on Sunday, June 23rd.Β 

Pies or desserts must be homemade, and include seasonal fruits; entries will be judged for flavor, texture, originality and presentation. Participants must deliver their entries on June 23rd with a handwritten recipe. Participants can enter as many pies or desserts as they like.

There is a 'People's Choice' category as well as two age categories: children and youth up to those entering the 9th grade this fall, and youth entering 10th grade this fall up to adult. One of the winning entries will be chosen for inclusion on the menu at Stopsky's Deli.
