Sing-a-Long Sound of Music at the Meydenbauer Center and More, Play Date!

Fun activities and some sweet deals for the whole family this upcoming week, March 14 - March 21.

March 16: The Adventures of Peter Rabbit and His Friends at

  • 7:30 pm
  • For the whole family
  • Youth Theatre brings classic children’s literature to the stage with this delightful and rambunctious production.
  • The play continues through March 18th. Thursday and Friday shows at 7:30 pm, Saturday matinee at 2:30 pm (finally show on the 18th is sold out).

March 18: Drop In Gym at the for Special Needs Kids and Teens

  • 2 pm to 4 pm
  • Enjoy this program for special needs kids and teens ages five to fifteen.  Meet up with friends and family to enjoy playing in facility with your child or teen.  The facility is not staffed so supervision by a parent or caregiver is required at all times. Next drop in gym will be April 1.
  • Cost: $3.25 per resident, $4.50 for non-residents of Mercer Island.

March 19: Indoor Playground at the

  • 9:30 am to 12 pm
  • Kids six and under accompanied by an adult caregiver will enjoy zipping around on scooters and playing with balls, giant blocks and other fun toys. A great place for you and your child to get out of the rain and run, play, socialize and have fun.

  • For ages three months to one year with an adult caregiver

March 20: Teen Advisory Board at the

  • 7 pm to 8 pm
  • For teens.
  • Voice your opinions on the books, magazines, programs and services the library offers teens, all while earning one volunteer credit hour and enjoying snacks.

  • 11:00 am to 11:30 am
  • For ages two to three with an adult caregiver
  • Stories, rhymes, music, puppets and fun!

  • For families with kids ages five and up.
  • Get ready to yodel! This is your family's chance to sing along to the most successful musical of all time. The movie will play on a big screen with subtitles so you can easily sing along. 
  • Dress as your favorite character and compete for great prizes.
