May 19: Indoor Drop in Play at the Gym at the

9:30 a.m. to noon

Adult caregivers with infants to six years olds play with a variety of toys including scooters, balls and giant blocks.

Cost: Residents, $3 per child and Non-residents $4 per child.

May 20 & 21st: Book Sale at the

9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Stock up on summer reading material for the whole family! The Mercer Island Thrift Shop and the are partnering for the first time to feature their first annual Book Sale on Friday, May 20thand Saturday, May 21st.  Books of all kinds will be for sale.  We will feature children’s books, rare books, comic books, collectible books, fiction, non-fiction, design and architecture books and much more.  

May 20: Opening Night - Gulliver’s Travels at

7 p.m.

Opening night for this play, which follows Lemuel Gulliver on his journeys through strange and distant lands. Performed by the theater’s conservatory students.  Performances run through June 12th, every Friday night at 7 PM and Saturday and Sundays at 2 PM.

Cost: $17 Adults for opening night, $15 youth and seniors.  All other performances $15 adults, $13 youth and seniors. Order tickets online or by calling 206 232-4145, ext. 100, Monday - Friday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. or the box office, ext. 109, on weekends.

May 20: Date Night!  Parents Night Out at

 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Drop your potty-trained kids off for a fun-filled night.  Activities include martial arts, movies, games and even a pizza dinner.

May 23: Stories from Junk Puppet Land at the

7:00 p.m. to 7:50 p.m.

Children of all ages and caregivers will enjoy this program.  Travel to Junk Puppet Land with the Zambini Brothers where multicultural stores are told by whimsical characters constructed of household stuff most people throw away.
