Mercer Island Preschool Association Hosts 'Circus' This Weekend and More: Play Date!

April 28: 46th Annual Circus at

• 10 am to 2 pm
• For Toddlers to Kindergarteners
• Around 1,000 people attended this popular fundraising event for MIPA last year, enjoying pony rides, a reptile man, face painting, bouncy houses, cake walks, musical guests, games of luck and skill and more.
• Admission is free with tickets on sale for games and prizes.

April 28: Chinese Language Story Time at the

• 10:30 am to 11:10 am
• For ages families with children ages three to seven.
• Join Nina Li Smith as she shares stories, songs and fingerplays in her native Mandarin Chinese language.
• Cost: Free

April 29: Drop In Gym at the for Special Needs Kids and Teens

• 2 pm to 4 pm
• Enjoy this program for special needs kids and teens ages five to fifteen.  Meet up with friends and family to enjoy playing in facility with your child or teen.  The facility is not staffed so supervision by a parent or caregiver is required at all times. Program is offered every other Sunday so next drop in gym will be April 1.
• Cost: $3.25 per resident, $4.50 for non-residents of Mercer Island.

April 30: Teen Zone at the

• 1:45 pm to 3:45 pm
• For teens
• Hang out, do your homework, play board games or just chat. Teen Zone is a great place to complete group projects for school or catch up with friends. Mondays after school with some exceptions.

May 2: Indoor Playground at the

• 9 am to noon
• Kids six and under accompanied by an adult caregiver will enjoy zipping around on scooters and playing with balls, giant blocks and other fun toys. A great place for you and your child to get out of the rain and run, play, socialize and have fun.

May 2: Frog and Toad in the Garden Puppet Show at the

• 10 am to 10:30 am
• For kids age three to six with an adult caretaker.
• Watch puppet friends Toad and Frog plant a garden and have other adventures.
• Cost: Free

May 5: Exploring Nature's Secrets at the

• 2 pm to 3 pm
• For kids ages five to ten with an adult caretaker
• Join Sarah Heller for activities and games. Explore the secrets of plants and critters.  Some activities will take place in the new Mercer Island Library Discovery Garden.
• Cost: Free but pre-registration required and space is limited. Register online.
