Play Date! Garden D'Lights, Celebration Lane, and Parenting Classes

Dec. 28:

• 5 pm to 10 pm
• For the whole family.
• Enjoy seeing the Bellevue Botanical Garden transformed into the magical Garden D’Lights by over a half a million lights.
• The display continues until Dec. 31. Directions and information on parking options is available online. 
• Cost: $5 per person. Children 10 and under are free. Purchase tickets online. 

Dec. 29: Celebration Lane at Bellevue Way and NE 8th

• 7 p.m.
• The nightly display of lights, music and live toy soldiers drumming returns through Dec. 31. Line up prior to 7 p.m. along the sidewalks of the (, and ). 
• Cost: Free

Dec. 30 & Jan 7 & 8: Christmas Tree Pickup

• Have your Christmas tree hauled away and support . 
• Remove all ornaments, lights, etc. and attach a ziplock bag to the top of the tree with your donation.
• Cost: Suggested minimum donation per tree of $20. Use a check made out to Mercer Island Lacrosse. Your donation is tax deductible. To make a reservation for the service, call 206-659-5529, or email laxtreepickup@hotmail.com. Drag the tree to the curb by 9 am of your selected pick up date.

Jan. 4: Mindful Interactions with Your Baby Class at the

• For parents of babies ages seven months to 14 months
• 11 am to 12:15 pm
• Join other parents for this ongoing class on how to better understand your baby’s needs. The next session will meet weekly on Wednesdays, January through March. Topics will include developmental stages, positive discipline, play and learning and sleep.

Jan. 5: Open House at the Early Childhood School

• 10 am to 11 am and 4 pm to 5 pm
• For parents of children ages three months through Kindergarten.
• SJCC invites families who are interested in their Early Childhood Education programs for current or fall enrollment to attend the upcoming open houses this month on Jan. 5 and Jan. 24, to meet with administrators and teachers, tour the classrooms and learn more about the curriculum and application process.
• Cost: Free but RSVPs are requested online.
