June 30: Jack and the Dragon Puppet Show at the
2 p.m. to 2:50 p.m.

For families with children ages four and up. Watch an Appalachian fairy tale come to life as Jack's Ma sends him out in the world to seek his fortune and along the way Jack kills seven flies with one whack. The King and Princess Polly could use someone to deal with troublesome varmints so they call on Jack.
Note that the show is performed in a dark room and not appropriate for very young children.

July 3: Food Independence Day and Senior Celebration at the at the
10 a.m to 3 p.m.
Kids activity table today featuring painting. The Flash Family Inspirational Award announcement at 1 PM in the Musicians Booth. Enjoy live music. Master Gardeners and Susan Kleiner, owner of , will be on hand to answer questions and provide information on healthy eating and lifestyle choices.

July 5: Stories of the Night Sky with Pacific Science Center on the Go at the
10 a.m., 10:45 a.m., 11:30 a.m. and 12:15 a.m.
Children ages five to eight are invited to sign up for one 30 minute session and journey into the summer night sky, where constellations come to life! Hear stories of ancient heroes and mythical creatures as you search the sky for the Big Dipper, Pegasus, Leo the Lion and others. View this summer’s sky from a whole new perspective on this trip through the stars via a portable planetarium.
Cost: Free but space is limited at each show and a ticket required for entry. 30 free tickets available at the library to pick up beginning June 27th.
July 6: Summer Story Time for Twos and Threes at the
10:30 a.m. to 11 a.m.
A special program of stories, music, puppets and fun for two to three year olds.
Cost: Free
July 7: World Art Explorations – Japanese Art Forms at the
2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
For kids ages eight to twelve. In this fun mixed-media art class, students will try two art forms that reflect the unique culture of Japan: Suiseki, the art of miniature landscapes; and Sumi-e ink painting on rice paper. After learning about each form, students will create a 3D natural landscape using rocks, clay, moss and other materials and a 2D ink painting that explores simple lines, space and nature.
Cost: Free but space is limited and pre-registration is required using this online form.
