September 14: Indoor Playground at the Gym

• 9:30 am to Noon
• Kids six and under accompanied by an adult caregiver will enjoy bouncy houses, zipping around on scooters, playing with balls and giant blocks and other fun toys.

September 17: Guided Canoe Trip Through the

• 8:45 a.m. to Noon
• Only two more trips left for this year! Explore the beautiful Mercer Slough Nature Park by water with your family.  Bellevue Park Rangers lead the canoe trip that begins and ends at the  Boat Launch. You’ll see how this amazing ecosystem functions as you travel into the heart of Mercer Slough Nature Park, a 320 acre wetland. With a little luck, you may catch a glimpse of the otters, herons, turtles and other wildlife of Mercer Slough. Kids must be age five and up and there must be one adult caretaker present for every two children. Some paddling experience required and participants are required to paddle a distance of 4 miles. September 18: Girl Scouts Information Session at the

• 3 pm to 5 pm
• Parents and their daughters are invited to this information meeting to find out about Girl Scouts. Participating in Girl Scouts helps girls develop leadership skills, new friendships and confidence.  And most importantly, they have lots of fun! More information by calling 206 240-9906.

September 18: The Frazzled Mom’s Guide to Friendship and Renewal at the

• 1:30 pm to 4 pm
• Join Mercer Island authors Linda Williams Rorem and Carol Gullstad as they discuss ways to make women happier and healthier by getting past guilt, evaluating their roadblocks and prioritizing friendships.  They’ll provide practical tips on how over-stressed moms can “reset”. Learn how to find happiness and improve your health through sharing time with friends.
