Please Welcome David Dykstra & Congressman Adam Smith, Our Newest Bloggers

Do you have an opinion, experience, or expertise you'd like to share? We welcome you to share it on Patch through our Local Voices section.

During the last week, Mercer Island Patch has welcomed Congressman Adam Smith and David Dykstra as its newest bloggers.

In his first blog, Smith writes an open invite to an annual event he hosts, called 9th District Day. The event aims to bring together Washington state constituents, policy experts, and media leaders in Washington D.C.

Dykstra, our other new blogger this week, details a large real estate renovation on the West side of the island.

"The seller was Marsha Stroum Sloan Glazer. The buyer was Thomas Ellison, the principal owner of theValue-Village/Savers chain of stores," he wrote. "This is considered, second to Paul Allen’s campus, the premier property on Mercer Island."
