The Mercer Island Arts Council and the Mercer Island Visual Arts League (MIVAL) turned the spotlight on the South end of the Island for the season's inaugural 3rd Thursday Art Walk, which in turn chose to showcase the artistic and musical talents of the Island's middle and high school students. 

Abundant sunshine brought a bubbly crowd to the Mercer Village Shopping Center, where nine local businesses participated in the walk: El Sombrero Restaurant, Eurobody of Mercer Island, Karate West, La Belle Spa, QFC, Rite Aid, Sahara Pizza, Starbucks and Storage Court of Mercer Island.
