WATCH: 'We Day Seattle' Inspires Local Students to Give Back and Make a Difference

KeyArena burst with excitement as 15,000 students from 400 middle and high schools across the state celebrated community service and helping others at Wednesday’s We Day Seattle.

Seattle Seahawks coach Pete Carroll and other celebrities acknowledged the efforts of the students at the rock-concert-like youth empowerment event, which also featured Jennifer Hudson, J.R. Martinez and Nelly Furtado.

“I liked how J.R. Martinez talked about how no one is actually normal,” said Kayla Arpin of Emerson K-12 school in Kirkland. “Everybody is normal in their own way.”

Patch was at the event and spoke with students from schools around Puget Sound. Watch the video to hear how they're making a difference and what inspires them.
