80s Singer/Songwriters Reilly & Maloney to Perform at YTN

Youth Theatre Northwest presents a one-night performance of beloved Pacific Northwest folk music duo Ginny Reilly and David Maloney on Saturday, February 25, 2012 at 7:30 p.m.

Through the 1970s and ’80s there was no hotter act around Seattle than Reilly and Maloney, two singer/songwriters whose rich harmonies and tireless performance schedule cultivated legions of fans throughout the region. When the pair called it quits after 20 years and eight albums in 1990, their farewell concert at the 5th Avenue Theater sold out so quickly that a second night had to be added.

After a 10-year hiatus, Reilly and Maloney reunited in 2000 to discover that their audience was still with them. In performances up and down the West Coast fans clamored for old favorites as well as new material, and additional recordings soon found their way to the CD table (David's 2011 solo effort, “One Day More,” also received a preliminary Grammy nomination).
