Go behind the scenes with The Youth Theatre Northwest on opening night of "The Crucible."

The cast made up of a group of 20 youth ranging from 13 years old to 18 years old, show what it takes to prepare for a play. 

The cast showed up an hour before the show began to warm up by playing games to get them mentally ready, rehearsing parts of the play and mingling amongst each other.

"The Crucible" is a story of a young woman who is accused of witchcraft and tears the town of Salem apart in order to find out the truth. The historical and riveting story exposes the complex and sometimes dark side of human character, according to the Youth Theatre Northwest website.

"The Crucible" was written by Arthur Miller and directed by James Lapan. The play runs from March 4-20 on Fridays and Saturdays at 7 pm and Sundays at 2 pm. Tickets range from $13-$17.
