Enter Mercer Island's Juried Art Show

Mercer Island's first ever juried art show will take place at the Mercer Island Art Gallery from Sept. 10 to Oct. 26. Submissions are due Aug. 10.

Tomorrow, Aug. 10, is the last day to submit entries into Mercer Island’s first ever juried art show put on by the Mercer Island Art Council.

To enter, artists must fill out an entry form and upload images of their work onto a CD that must be delivered to the r by 9 p.m. tomorrow night. Submission guidelines are listed on the entry form.

Artists can submit up to three pieces of work for $25. Art in all media is eligible, as long as it was completed between 2008 and 2012.

Paula Stokes, exhibition and scholarships programs manager at Pratt Fine Arts Center, is this year’s juror. She will select which pieces make the show. Artists will be notified by email whether or not their art was accepted by Aug. 20.

The top three pieces will receive a monetary prize, $300 for first place, $200 for second, and $100 for third place.

All of the featured art will be up for sale.

The art show will run from Sept. 10 to Oct. 26. at the Mercer Island Gallery.
