MIVAL Junior Art Show

A Happy Summer to all Mercer Island families with artistic youngsters! The Junior Art Show is going to be in its 38th year! This is such a longstanding family tradition on this island. Now well into its second generation of young artists. Parents of today were, way-back-then, prodded by their parents to submit a painting or photograph, make a craft or create three-dimensional objects to display at the Junior Art Show.  Today it is their chance to prod or, as parents sort through their children’s art production for the year, choose those adorable , amazing and unique pieces, have them framed and deliver them to welcoming MIVAL volunteers at Wells Fargo Bank on July 10th from 10am-3pm. Entry forms are available at Wells Fargo Bank, Mercer Island Chamber of Commerce, the MIVAL Gallery or at www.MIVAL. org.

The show is made possible by the continued and generous support of Wells Fargo Bank and  their generosity in allowing MIVAL to use the bank lobby as the art gallery.  Also, MIVAL members and local businesses donate awards every year with the hope of stimulating young budding artists and encouraging them to spend time creating art.

During the Summer Celebration, On Saturday, July 14th from 10am-6pm and Sunday, July 15th from 1am-2pm the art exhibit will be open to the public and the Awards Ceremony will take place from 1pm-2pm on Saturday, July 14th at Wells Fargo Bank.
