Poetry Contest!

POETRY CONTEST!  

In honor of National Poetry Month Island Books and the Mercer Island Arts Council are co-sponsoring a poetry contest open to all ages. 

When: Contest closes April 30th

Who: Everyone! Poems will be judged in several categories:   

- K through 3rd grade

- 4th and 5th grade 

 - Middle and high school 

 - Adults

What: Your theme is "What I Can Touch." Kids may submit poetry in any form. Adults are restricted to haiku or limerick.

Where: Attach your poem to the Poetry Pole inside Island Books @ 3014 78th Ave. SE

Prizes: Island Books gift certificates will be given to First, Second and Third place student winners and to one adult winner. 

Winners will be announced in ceremony on Sunday, May 6th at 3:30 p.m.
