Now that the football season is in full-swing, why not spend a day-or a weekend-cheering for your favorite team?

If you're a college football fan, the newly formed Pac-12 league provides ample opportunities to watch the Huskies and Cougars-and ten other teams-compete against formidable competition. This weekend, the Dawgs play the California Bears at home. Game time is 12:30pm. Next weekend, the Huskies play Utah in Salt Lake City. Wazzu fans have a reprieve because the Cougars are off, this week. Next week, they travel to play Colorado, in Boulder. For professional football fans, CenturyLink is home to the Seattle Seahawks. The Seahawks are off to a tenuous start, down two games in the regular season. Their next two games are at home-the first is on Sunday, September 25th, against the Arizona Cardinals and on Sunday, October 2nd, they will play the Atlanta Falcons. If you prefer high school athletics to college and professional sports, you won't have to travel far to watch our own Mercer Island Islander football team. Led by Jeff Lindquist-one of the top quarterbacks in the country-the team has won two games and lost one in a nail-biter to Seattle Prep.
