KING FM 98.1 to Feature Mercer Island Classical Music Concert

The "Northwest Focus" program will feature music to be performed at a Sept. 13 concert by the Russian Chamber Music Foundation of Seattle at the Mercer Island Presbyterian Church.

Seattle's classical radio station KING FM 98.1 announced it will feature music and concert information for the Russian Chamber Music Foundation of Seattle's Friday, Sept. 13 performance at the Mercer Island Presbyterian Church.

KING FM radio announcer Sean MacLean will feature the music on Northwest Focus, which showcases the best of the northwest music scene by presenting local concert performances, concert previews, and new releases weekday nights at 8 p.m.

Monday, September 9
Tchaikovsky:  Russian Dance in A minor, Op.40/10 at approximately 8:02pm
Tuesday, September 10
Tchaikovsky:  Valse Scherzo, Op.34 at approximately 8:02pm
Wednesday, September 11
Rachmaninoff:  Romance, Op.6/1 at approximately 9:46pm
Thursday, September 12
Prokofiev:  Sonata in C for two violins, Op.56 at approximately 8:15pm

According to its website, KING FM aims to "continue supporting classical music as well as our local arts scene in any way we can, and it is a goal of ours to continue to build a lasting relationship between Russian Chamber Music Foundation of Seattle and KING FM."

The Russian Chamber Music Foundation is run by pianist and Mercer Island resident Natalya Ageyeva.
