Heads up, Mercer Island parents: The Mercer Island School District has released its list of important dates for the 2013-14 school year:
Sept. 3: First Day of School
Oct. 11: Teacher in-service day. No school for students.
Nov. 11: Veteran's Day (Observed)
Nov. 15: Early release for elementary students
Nov. 21-27: Elementary conferences. Early release.
Nov. 28-29: Thanksgiving Break
Dec. 23-Jan. 3: Winter Break
Jan. 20: Martin Luther King Day
Jan. 27: Half day for MIHS students
Feb. 17-21: Presidents Day/Mid-Winter Break
March 14: Half day for elementary and MIMS students
March 17: Weather makeup day. No school.
April 7-11: Spring Break
May 23: Weather makeup day. No school.
May 26: Memorial Day
June 13: Early release for elementary students
June 19: Last day of school
June 20: Weather makeup day
