Antique Shop Closes After Nearly 20 Years off of Campbell Avenue

Dante Company in The Courtyard is closing its doors Dec. 31.

Another longtime business in downtown Campbell is closing its doors.

Dante Company in The Courtyard is closing Dec. 31 after being in the downtown for nearly 20 years.

Masako Sato, owner of the antiques store says that a change of clientele and an up coming 70th birthday have all been reasons for her to close shop.

"It's been a long time," Sato says. "It's time to retire."

Sato first lived in Campbell almost 20 years ago and the various antique stores downtown drew her to the location on 299 E Campbell Ave. but within the last three years, the younger customers just weren't as interested in antiques any more, she says.

Sato has various sales in her shop until she closes, including 50 percent off all books and up to 30 percent off other items.

This was one of the first stores I went into when I launched this site. Masako is a sweet lady. Wish her the best.
