Chase Bank Celebrates Mercer Village Branch with Ribbon Cutting

The new Chase Bank branch celebrated its grand opening on the South End in the Mercer Village Shopping Center.

The new Chase Bank branch celebrated its grand opening on the South End in the Mercer Village Shopping Center on Wednesday.

At 8425 SE 68th Street, the branch will employ six to eight people, said a Chase official, and features three touch-screen kiosks that give customers more options than an ATM.

At about 14x18 inches, the kiosks should speed transactions, offer larger withdrawal limits, up to $1,000, and were introduced by Chase beginning last year elsewhere.

The new branch will also offer customers the ability to instantly issue working debit cards for customers opening new accounts, or who are in need of a replacement card. Its hours will be 9 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday. Chase, owned by financial services company JPMorganChase, already operates a branch on Mercer Island in the Chase Building at 7900 SE 28th Street.
