Lilly’s Restaurant at Aljoya joins 12 Mercer Island businesses to raise money for Mercer Island Youth and Family Services (MIYFS) during the organization’s annual Giving from the Heart day.
Lilly’s restaurant is offering a 20 percent discount on all menu items, all day, on Wednesday February 8th. Lilly’s will give all proceeds raised to MIYFS to support its ongoing work in the community.
In recent years, MIYFS has seen an increase in demand for services that the organization attributes to the economic downturn. Demand for counseling services, child programs and food is up significantly.

“MIYFS provides much needed services for seniors, children and families here on Mercer Island,” says Aljoya Mercer Island Executive Director, Marla Becker. “That’s why we are doing everything we can to raise more money than last year, including an awesome discount for delicious food at Lilly’s. We invite everyone to come on in and join us for a great meal that supports a worthy cause.”
Last year, MIYFS raised about $100,000 by partnering with local businesses for Giving from the Heart day. This year the organization hopes to exceed their $100,000 goal to fund an increased service provision for families, children and seniors in need.
