Free Cone Day at Ben & Jerry's

Whether you're into Chunky Monkey or Phish Food, stop by Ben & Jerry's for free ice cream on Tuesday from noon to 8 p.m.

April 12 may seem like just another day — but for ice cream mavens this might as well be the 4th of July.

This Tuesday is Free Cone Day at Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream Shops nationwide. Mercer Island is a town (who as it turns out is holding their own scoop night — see below for details), so the nearest Ben & Jerry's is in downtown Seattle or near Safeco Field.

The reason for the free scoops of ice creams is because the popular ice cream company is celebrating its 33rd anniversary. Between noon and 8 p.m., it will be giving away free ice cream as a token of appreciation for its customers.

  • Bonnaroo Buzz: Light Coffee & Malt ice creams with Whiskey Caramel swirls & English Toffee pieces. This flavor, inspired by the Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival, is back by popular demand in Scoop Shops and now available in pints!
  • Stephen Colbert’s AmeriCone Dream: Vanilla ice cream with fudge covered waffle cone pieces & a caramel swirl. A long time pint favorite, so popular we made it a scoop shop flavor for the first time this year!
  • Clusterfluff: Peanut Butter Ice Cream with Caramel Cluster Pieces, Peanut Butter & Marshmallow Swirls

Not to be missed, Baskin and Robbins is also holding it's own "31-cent Scoop Night", 5 p.m. - 10 p.m. on April 27 in honor of firefighters and raising additional funds for local fire departments, such as the .
