Island Businesses Host Halloween Afternoon Trick-or-Treat Event

Donations will support the Youth & Family Services Food Pantry.

Mercer Island businesses on both the north and south-end are collaborating to host a trick-or-treat event on Halloween this Monday, Oct. 31 from 3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. Youth are encouraged to come to the Town Center and show off their costumes and trick-or-treat at participating businesses identified by an orage poster in the window.

The event, which will take place during daylight hours, will provide a safe a fun opportunity for children to trick-of-treat.

"We are all looking forward to seeing the youngsters in their costumes. We are hoping this will become a downtown tradition," says Terry Moreman, Executive Director of the .Β

Participants in the event are asked to consider bringing a non-perishable food donation for the Mercer Island Food Panty that can be left at designated businesses.
