Olympic Physical Therapy Relocates to The Mercer

The physical therapy clinic, popular with local Medicare patients and high-school athletes, downsized to a more visible location in The Mercer building at the corner of SE 27th St. and 77th Ave. Northeast.

Local physical therapy clinic Olympic Physical Therapy recently re-opened this week in a new location in Mercer Island's Town Center.

Olympic moved on from its former location on the 5th floor of the Island Corporate Center on SE 24th St. and reopened on Monday, July 29 at the smaller, 4,000 square-foot ground floor corner office at 7650 SE 27th St. in The Mercer building.

"We've been at the other location for over 10 years," said clinical supervisor Mark Bouma. "This is a nice spot ... We'll be more visible to the public. It fits our size better, for our staffing needs and our changes in technology."

The new office at ground floor level affords Medicare patents and injured athletes guaranteed easy access to the facility, and staff have direct climate control over the clinic's gym, said office manager Lauren Price.

Olympic offers orthopedic, pediatric and manual physical therapy and sports medicine, including a specialized fitness training program called "Athletic Engineering". Olympic operates nine clinics in the Puget Sound, and its Mercer Island location is owned and operated by physical therapist Ken Cole.
