Did you forget to move your clock forward?

Enjoying a leisurely Sunday? Don't forget to move your clocks forward β€” Daylight Saving Time resumed while you were probably in bed.Β

Daylight Saving Time (DST) resumed today at 2 a.m., local time. Nearly all of the United States observes it, except most of Arizona and Hawaii. Lands governed by the Navajo Nation in Arizona also observe Daylight Saving Time.

The most recent change to DST occured in 2007 when The Energy Policy Act of 2005 went into effect and extended it for several weeks.ο»Ώ

The resumption of DST is also used as an opportunity by most public safety agencies to remind residents to change the batteries in their smoke and carbon monoxide detectors in their homes, to aid in the prevention of fires and asphyxiation.

Daylight Saving will end at 2 a.m. on November 6.
