Dragon Boat Capsizes, 17 Rescued Near I-90 Bridge

All boaters were wearing life jackets and were quickly rescued from the frigid waters of Lake Washington, according to the Seattle Times.

Seventeen rowers from a dragon boat were rescued by police and good Samaritans in Lake Washington last night around 7:30 p.m. near the I-90 Floating Bridge.

According to the Seattle Times, the boaters had to be pulled from the water by rescuers about 7:30 p.m. near the west end of the Interstate 90 bridge. All were wearing life jackets.Β Nobody was seriously injured, including an undisclosed number of children.Β
