  • Why Go: Make it out to the Olde Wine Store this weekend and experience a truly unique event. It all starts with the live latin music of Correo Aereo. Once the music starts you'll enjoy a showcase of wine charms and the stunning wearable art by Dorothy Cheng. Did I mention wine? Enjoy the rich Walla Walla wines of Five Star Cellars throughout the entire evening.

  • Where/When: 10 a.m. - 9 p.m. Thursday - Sunday at the .
  • Why Go: It's the time for the annual Spring Used Book Sale at the Mercer Island Library. Walk out with a bagful of books, CDs, magazines and the occasional signed first edition. 
  • Pricing: Admission is free. Funds raised from the book sale will help support a variety of Mercer Island Library programs.

  • Where/When: 7:45 a.m. on Sun, April 17 at Bellevue's .
  • Why Go: The Bellevue 10k run is back and just in time to help you get in that swim suit shape you need for Summer. If the 10K seems too extreme, try the 5k run/walk. There's also a half mile Kids' Dash available for kids 10 years old and younger. Not too stoked about getting your run on this Sunday? This 2011 Bellevue 10K promo might help you get motivated.
  • Pricing: Pre-registration for 10k/5k: $30; Registration after April 15 & day of race: $35; Kids dash/10 and under: $10.

  • Where/When: 6:30 p.m. - 9 p.m. Sat, April 16 at the .
  • Why Go: The Youth Theatre Northwest has conjured up a night of magic, feasts, tricks and more. Come out and show your support for our the theatre and our communities youth at this enchanting gala.
  • Pricing: $125 per person. All proceeds from this event directly benefit Youth Theatre programs.

  • Where/When: 9 p.m. Fri, April 15 at the  in Kirkland.
  • Why Go: If free live music is what you're after this weekend, you're gonna have to make a drive to see it. Luckily, The Crying Spell will be worth the drive to Kirkland. This is a great opportunity to see a big name band in a very intimate venue. Never heard of them? Check out this Crying Spell music video to get an idea of what you're in for.
