  • Where/When: 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. Sat, June 4 at .
  • Why Go: Come celebrate National Trails Day with Letterboxing this Saturday at Pioneer Park. Letterboxing is an intriguing mix of treasure hunting, art, navigation, and exploring interesting, and scenic places. And even if you're brand new to Letterboxing, you'll have to opportunity to “find” the first letterbox with a guide that will explain how the program works. In addition to Letterboxing, there will be other exciting activities and games for the children.
  • Cost: Free.

NBA Finals at the Islander

  • Where/When: 5 p.m. Sun, June 5 at .
  • Why Go: If your looking to catch game 3 of the NBA Finals this Sunday, The Islander is probably your safest bet without having to leave the Island. They eight HD TV's scattered throughout the bar and plenty seating. So grab some friends and head out to the Islander for some drinks, food and hopefully a great basketball game.
  • Cost: No cover. Check out their online menu and happy-hour specials (happy-hour runs 3-6 p.m. and 9 p.m. - close).

Seattle International Film Festival

  • Where/When: Daily through June 12th at multiple locations.
  • Why Go: The Seattle International Film Festival has been going on since mid-May. If you haven't had a chance to catch any of it, take a day out of your weekend and come check out what this festival has to offer. There's a lot of films being screened everyday at SIFF so you'll have to browse the schedule a little to find the film for you. This weekend's venues include the Admiral Theatre, AMC Pacific Place 11, the Egyptian Theatre, Harvard Exit, Kirkland Performance Center, Neptune Theatre, and the SIFF Cinema.
  • Pricing: Tickets vary by venue and film, visit the SIFF website for more information.

  • Where/When: 7 a.m. Sun, June 5 at the Fisher Pavilion in Seattle.
  • Why Go: Join scores of people from throughout the Puget Sound region for the Susan G. Komen Puget Sound Race for the Cure, an event to help raise awareness about and dollars to battle breast cancer. The day's events will include a 5K run and walk, women's only 5k run, one-mile walk, survivor parade and a fundraising awards ceremony.
  • Pricing: Registration fees range from $40 to $10. Online registration ends Fri, June 3.
