  • Where/When: 7:30 p.m. Fri, Sept. 24 at .
  • Why Go: The Bellevue-based Russian Chamber Music Foundation of Seattle will present the Rimsky-Korsakov Quartet from St. Petersburg, Russia for an intimate performance this Friday night at the Mercer Island Presbyterian church. The performance will include music by Russian masters Tchaikovsky and Shostakovich.
  • Cost: Suggested Donation: $20 for adults, Seniors & Students $15.

  • Where/When: 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Sunday at the Puyallup Fair Grounds.
  • Why Go: It's the last weekend of the Puyallup Fair. So grab your friends and family and head to Puyallup for all the attractions you'd expect, plus a few extras. Activities and entertainment include animal shows, grange displays, home arts cooking contests and quilts, Hobby Hall, floral designs, and rides, including the new thrill ride, Vertigo. And don't forget about all that !
  • Pricing: Admission ranges from $9 to $11. Kids under 5 are free.

 

  • Where/When: 6-9 p.m. Sat, Sept. 24 at .
  • Why Go: Spend your Saturday listening to some cool jazz and while enjoying a glass of wine at The Olde Wine Store. The Jazz Connection, a quintet of well versed performers, will be will setting the mood with jazz from the 30's and 40's.
  • Cost: $7 suggested donation.

 

  • Where/When: 8-10 p.m. Friday and Saturday at the .
  • Why Go: It's the final weekend of the Renton Civic Theatre's production of  I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change. The Renton Civic Theatre always puts on a great show and this production should be no different. Grab some friends or family and see it before it's gone.
  • Cost: $25 for adults, $20 for seniors.

 

  • Where/When: 1 p.m. Sat, Sept. 24 at .
  • Why Go: The Mercer Island Library's new Saturday Movie Matinee series starts this Saturday with a screening of Libeled Lady. The screening will be followed by a Q&A with program director, Lance Rhoades. 
  • Cost: Admission is free. Refreshments provided.
