Mercer Island Neighbors Can Trade Skills in New 'Timebank'

Mercer Island Youth & Family Services is holding an information session on the relaunch for the Mercer Island Timebank at 7 p.m. Wednesday.

Mercer Island Youth & Family Services will host an information session on the relaunch for the Mercer Island Timebank at 7 p.m. Wednesday.

Youth & Family Services sent the following information on the concept of timebanking: 

Timebanking is a barter system organized to provide the exchange of services between the like-minded individuals in a community.  People trade skills in computer assistance, house sitting, tutoring, dog walking, teaching to cook or sew, gardenin, home repair and a whole host of other skills.Come listen to stories of trades on Mercer Island, have some refreshments and hear how Timebanking is could work for you and your neighbors. Start getting some things off your ‘to do’ list.
