Thursday, April 14
The school district's distinction was announced as County Executive Dow Constantine recognized "Earth Heroes at School" at an award ceremony for environmental efforts and stewardship in schools countywide at the Community Center.

Wednesday, April 13
The City of Mercer Island is welcoming input into one of the city's largest annual infrastructure expenditures: street repairs and improvements.
The 47-year-old resident is also believed to be linked to wave of car prowls last month on First Hill and a residential burglary.

The three-year project to re-stripe and repave the roadway, and install and repair sidewalks — among other fixes — is phased in two parts with a major water utility project in-between.
