The Washington State Department of Transportation plans to close the State Route 520 bridge between Montlake Boulevard in Seattle and I-405 in Bellevue next weekend, the transportation agency announced in an email alert.
The closure is set to take place beginning at 8 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 15, and end by 5 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 17. WSDOT says it delayed the start of the closure to accommodate a football game at Husky Stadium earlier on Saturday.
While the bridge is closed, crews will work on installing girders for a new highway lid in Medina. More information on the Eastside Transit and HOV Project can be found on the WSDOT website.
WSDOT says the next full closure of the 520 bridge will take place Nov. 5-7.
