You left off the Mercer Island Learning Lab. It is a fantastic cooperative preschool where parents, and their children are enriched. I can't imagine a better preschool.

MI Learning Lab was not only the best choice for my kids, but their parent ed classes made me a better parent. Judy Witmer is an institution on Mercer Island. Props also to the MISD preschool and Sydney McCready, providing essential preschool education to children with developmental issues. My son was lucky enough to go to both, so I split my vote!

St. Monica Parish School has a pre-school. Please add them to your list

Thanks Connie, I added the St. Monica preschool to the list. Don't forget, you can click on the schools in the story above and rate them, too!

Thank you for adding the Mercer Island Learning Lab (MILL). Judy Witmer is an amazing preschool teacher and have been for 37 years. MILL is the only cooperative preschool option for Mercer Island, and the kids get a thorough sensory experience (experiential learning in action!). I would not have sent my daughter to any other preschool!

Two additional facts regarding Country Village Day School! *Country Village Day School is a NAEYC accredited program. *Country Village Day School is a non-profit school that provides programs for children ages six weeks to twelve years old.

Hi Linda, Thanks for letting me know — I'll make the changes that you've mentioned today. Have you considered claiming your listing? It's detailed in this story: http://patch.com/A-rtCw

Way to go, Mercer Island! So far, Country Village Day School currently leads the pack with 28% of the vote, followed by Early World Montessori, with 18%. We're just past the half-way mark in our poll — which closes at 9 a.m. this Friday (March 9) — so there's still time to tell friends and family (you don't have to be a parent, just a person with an opinion) to vote in our poll!

As a working parent who has used both Early World and Country Village, hands down EWM is the better option in terms of ease on parents. EWM has a much more convenient drop-off layout, all snacks are included in the fee, provides very healthy lunches for a nominal monthly fee, and never surprises parents with lists of art supplies for the year (I pay top dollar for childcare, dang it, buy your own art supplies!). Not only that, but EWM is NEVER closed aside from the typical corporate holidays - even on snow days for the MI Public Schools, EWM is open - a life saver when parents have to work regardless of the snow. Country Village does have the leg up on the under 2.5 crowd, for the working parents, so kudos there! Also Country Village has an awesome summer program with more activities for the kiddos. I still prefer EWM for ease on working parents.

oh - and you realize that Country Village is the largest preschool on the island, so you might want to consider % of respondents based on enrollment or something when you consider your final poll results. Just based on sheer numbers, the larger preschools will always have more respondants. Just saying... And we are really lucky to have such amazing choices on the Island! All should be winners!

So true. You don't have to be a parent, however, to vote in the poll. Just a person with a Patch account with an opinion!
