Weather Service Issues Saturday Thunderstorm Advisory

The National Weather Service is warning of possible thunderstorms, showers, hail and gusty winds as a storm moves over the Puget Sound and into the Cascades, changing to snow.

The following short-term weather advisory for the Puget Sound region was issued this afternoon by the National Weather Service:

214 PM PDT SAT OCT 20 2012 .NOW... SHOWERS AND ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS CONTINUE TO MOVE TO THE EAST NORTHEAST THROUGH THIS AFTERNOON AND INTO THIS EVENING. SOME OF THE SHOWERS MAY CONTAIN SMALL HAIL AND GUSTY WINDS. AS THE SHOWERS MOVE INTO THE MOUNTAINS...PRECIPITATION WILL CHANGE OVER TO SNOW. SNOW MAY BE HEAVY AT TIMES...ESPECIALLY IN SNOQUALMIE AND WHITE PASSES.
