For three days last week on Mercer Island, the USC girls lacrosse coaching staff teamed up with an array of national lacrosse talent to host a girls lacrosse camp on Mercer Island.

TUESDAY, AUG. 2

North-end resident Darren Berg, 49, plead guilty to Wire Fraud, one count of Money Laundering and one count of Bankruptcy Fraud.

WEDNESDAY, AUG. 3

THURSDAY, AUG. 4

The Alpenland Delicatessen’s owners are selling the Mercer Island icon, and hope to find someone who will keep the popular restaurant and deli going much as it is.

FRIDAY, AUG. 5

Damage to the home at 3708 86th Ave. SE is estimated at $500,000; the family escape safely, but pet cat died in the Aug. 5 fire.

The Seafair hydro races only roll around once a year, and this was the weekend to catch the action, along with shows by the Blue Angels.
