THURSDAY, JULY 14

FRIDAY, JULY 15

The annual visit of the U.S. Navy Blue Angels for their aeronautical performances over Lake Washington and Mercer Island bring traffic and several road closures on Interstate 90 with them.

King County proposes the elimination or reduction of seven of the eight bus routes that service the island. About 30 percent of the current bus service hours would disappear if the proposal passes its public review.

After taking home district titles last weekend, three Mercer Island Little League All-Star Teams are preparing to begin the state tournament this weekend.

SATURDAY, JULY 16

The Mercer Island Reporter is reporting City Hall has finalized a settlement agreement to pay former Deputy City Manager and Attorney Londi Lindell $1 million to withdraw claims for sexual harassment, sexual discrimination and retaliation in the workplace.
