What Happened to the Weekend Sunshine?

The National Weather Service forecast for Mercer Island and the Seattle area predicts rain tapering off Tuesday, with sunshine and high temps in the 70s returning Wednesday.

Yep, that's thunder and lightening out there.

The National Weather Service is predicting showers from a summer thunderstorm will continue tonight with occasional lightning and downpours. High temperatures won't get above the 60s today or tomorrow.

But never fear, Mercer Island: The sun returns on Wednesday and is forecast to stay with us right through the weekend.
