What's Open, Closed for Presidents Day

Schools are out, and government offices are closed Monday.

Monday is Presidents Day. Here's a look at what's open and closed for the holiday.

Mercer Island School District: closed for mid-winter break this week. Students will return on Wednesday, Feb. 22.

King County government: closed.

King County Metro Transit: Most buses on normal schedule. Click here for details.

King County Transfer Stations: open.

State offices: closed. The Employment Security Department and all WorkSource employment centers will be closed, but you can apply for unemployment benefits online and file a weekly claim online or by phone.

State liquor stores: Most state-run liquor stores will be open 10 a.m.-7 p.m., but the Mercer Island State Liquor Store is closed.

Washington State Ferries: All routes on normal weekday schedule.

Federal government: closed.

Postal service: No delivery.

Republic Services (Allied Waste): regular schedule.
