C'est Magnifique

Oh la la! Monet, Renoir, Cezanne
Inspire Art Show at Aljoya Mercer Island
C’est Magnifique, a collaborative art exhibit featuring more than 25 original
works from local artists inspired by the French way of life, opens at Aljoya
Mercer Island at 2430 76th Avenue, S.E. with a gala reception on
Saturday June 7th at 1:30pm. 
Each of the participating artists was moved by different aspects of French
culture ranging from Impressionism with works like Quai de Bethune, oil on canvas, which depicts a Parisian apartment
scene, to Cat-a-Combs, a painting
featuring felines that ventures toward absurdity.Guests at the C’est
Magnifique
gala reception will enjoy French cheeses, crudités, and wine
tasting.; child-friendly apple cider and fresh-baked French macarons will also
be served. To accompany this feast for the senses, Chanteuse, Fathia Atallah will
be on hand to sing Parisian street songs and other tunes, made famous by
legendary French Singer, Edith Piaf.C’est Magnifique participating artists include: Valerie Collymore, Marie-France
D’Autyve, Rob Affholter, Kathy Bliss, Nancy Hammer, Deborah Kirsner, Kelly
Lyles, Damian Pugelli, Steve Sampson, Sarah Savidge, Kamilla White, and Phil
Stoiber.C’est Magnifique and its opening gala reception is open to all neighbors.  Advance reservations are requested.
