The Day of the Jackal (Fred Zinnemann, 1973) --The terrorist organization OAS, comprised of disgruntled French Foreign Legionnaires, hires an expert assassin in an attempt to kill president Charles de Gaulle. Based upon the novel by Frederick Forsythe.
Sponsored by the Mercer Island Arts Council and hosted by Aljoya Retirement Living. All films include introductory comments and post-film discussions led by film historian Lance Rhoades. All screenings will start at 7:30 pm and will be held at Aljoya Retirement Living Center, Mercer Island. All films are free and open to the public. Free refreshments served.
