(Sidney J. Furie, 1965)—Michael Caine stars as Harry Palmer, a low-class miscreant turned low-level British agent. Adapted from a Len Deighton novel, the film was hailed upon its release as a “thinking man’s James Bond.
Sponsored by the Mercer Island Arts Council and hosted by Aljoya Retirement Living. All films include introductory comments and post-film discussions led by film historian Lance Rhoades. All screenings will start at 7:30 pm and will be held at Aljoya Retirement Living Center, Mercer Island. All films are free and open to the public. Free refreshments served.
