The Christian Education Committee at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church wanted to create a safe, happy place for moms of young children to gather. A place where moms can find support, learn something, share something and be in community.

Welcome to “Mom’s Mornings”. We will meet each Tuesday morning from 9:30 am to 11:00 am (come as you are able), and provide refreshments, childcare and inspiration.

We will offer speakers on topics you have indicated you enjoy. The second Tuesday of each month is ‘Dinner to Go’, offering cooking information/instruction and you go home with dinner!

November:

13: Dinner to Go! (bring $10 and your own 9 x 12 pan, you’ll be leaving with dinner!)

20: An Attitude of Gratitude: how to instill caring and generosity in your children.

27: Decorating for the Holidays. Inspiration for every style and budget, led by Angie Manca

December:

4: Children‘s language development and speech issues. Led by Megan Campbell

11: Dinner to Go! ($10; bring a container to take home soup!) Ryan Shimabukuro from Bennetts is our "guest chef".

18: Cookie Exchange: bring 2 dozen and a recipe; go home with great variety!      ‘Christmas customs & traditions’ is the topic.

January:

8: How to take the best family photos : led by Lisi Wolf

15: Dinner to Go! ($10 and your own 9 x 12 pan)

Just a short thought to get the word out quickly about anything in your neighborhood.
Share something with your neighbors. Write a new post... What's up? Make an announcement, speak your mind, or sell something

I'll be a bit more direct than Jerry. The new site is a mess. Visually it's extremely cluttered.Read More It's slow, very slow. There appear to be no RSS feeds, a major negative. Following a few links sometimes sends you to a different community's Patch site. And what happened with the editing staff. Unless I missed something, suddenly there are new editors without any warning. No matter what the circumstances, normally such a move would be accompanied by an announcement of some sort. Venice may be the greatest editor ever, but it looks like she is splitting her time among several Patch sites, so the odds are stacked against her. Her "latest activities" list even suggests that she is editing a Patch site down in the San Francisco Bay area. With all due respect, Patch sites should be hyper-local, and the best route to that is a local (i.e. Mercer Islander) editor.

The Jury is still out. I liked the "Old Patch". J
