Join us for our 3rd annual Walk for Israel in commemoration of the State of Israel's 65th Birthday!

The Walk for Israel begins at 10am from Northwest Yeshiva High School. We will walk down Island Crest Way to Island Crust Cafe.

Meet at school at 10 am or come at 9:30 am to meet Hen Mazzig,Stand with Us' shaliach/representative to the Pacific Northwest.

Hen was in the IDF for almost five years. As a lieutenant in a unit called COGAT, he worked as an intermediary between the Israeli Defense Forces (the IDF) and the Palestinian Authority (the PA), the UN, and the many non-governmental organizations (NGOs) that work in the West Bank. Besides being able to talk about growing up in Israel and about Israel as a country and its culture, Hen has an excellent first-hand understanding of the nuances of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and the peace process.

10:30 am Island Crust Cafe and the NYHS Student Council are sponsoring a delicious buffet lunch for students and alumni in celebration of Israel's milestone birthday. Guests can enjoy this delicious buffet for just $6.50/person.

Island Crust Cafe will continue the commemoration all day with a special menu featuring Israeli dishes including the original Hadassah salad named after the organization!

While at Island Crust Cafe, make sure to check out our student art exhibit!

After lunch, we will walk back to NYHS. The Walk is sponsored by Northwest Yeshiva High School, Island Crust Cafe, Stand With Us, Hadassah and NCSY!
